New College Chorale is joining forces with Chamber Orchestra of the Severn to present a Christmas concert at All Saints Church in Wellington on Saturday December 22nd at 7.30pm. The concert is being promoted by Wellington Town Council with proceeds being donated to the Severn Hospice, which is the chosen charity of the Mayor of Wellington, Cllr. Frank Burns.

The first half of the concert will consist of popular seasonal music, including pieces by John Rutter, Peter Warlock, Malcolm Archer and Rachmaninov as well as two instrumental works, the first movements of Handel’s Organ Concerto in Bb and Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons. Conductor Bob Wysome will be the soloist in the organ concerto and orchestra leader Peter Lewis will be violin soloist in the Vivaldi.

The second half is made up of excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, with soloists Christine Hollis (soprano), Chris Lansley (Tenor) and Ken Francis (Bass).
